Valve Packing
This is the most common application for under pressure leak sealing services, for many reasons. Valve packing leaks can be repacked online, very quickly and economically, without shutdown and without having to isolate the valve itself. The sealant used to seal these leaks is very similar to the original packing material supplied by the valve manufacturer and will never harden or ruin the valve. Common applications for these valve packing repairs are steam, superheated steam, water, condensate, chemical, vacuum, air, or almost any process.

Flange Leaks
Flange leaks are a common occurrence in many facilities and can be easily sealed using under pressure leak sealing technology. There are many ways to achieve a seal on a flange, depending on the flange gap, temperature and pressure. Because almost all flanges are built to standard sizes, a two-piece flange clamp can be installed and then injected to seal the leak. We stock these standard-size flange clamps for flanges rated 150#, 300# and 600#, in sizes from ½" to 24" on the shelf.
If a flange larger than 24" is leaking, measurements can be taken and a flange clamp can be built in less than 24 hours in most cases. Another way to seal a flange leak is the wire wrap technique. This process is great for low-pressure leaks and is more of a short-term fix. A wire is placed in the flange gap and sealant is then injected into the void between the original gasket and the installed wire.

90 or 45 Degree Elbow Leaks
Leaking elbows are another common occurrence in many facilities. Elbows take a lot of abuse and in many cases eventually wear out. These leaks are a simple fix, requiring a manufactured elbow enclosure to ensure a 100% seal. The enclosures are made to standard pipe sizes, in both short radius and long radius for 90 degree applications. Once installed, they are injected to perform a 100% guaranteed seal.
We stock these standard-size elbow enclosures up to 24" in size. The enclosures can have either a perimeter seal or an injectable seal, depending on the requirements.

Weld Leaks / Pinholes
Weld leaks and pinhole leaks are yet another common occurrence in many facilities. They usually start small but often get worse very rapidly. A manufactured straight-line enclosure can easily repair these leaks. The enclosures are manufactured to the various pipe sizes and can be installed and injected very quickly to avoid further problems.
One enclosure can be used for a straight line, a 90 degree elbow, a “T” or a one-bore application, just by changing the middle inserts. We call these interchangeable enclosures MME enclosures. MME enclosures are suitable for pipes up to 2", after which we move on to our more traditional, standard enclosures.

Line Kills for Bypassing Valves
A line kill is a perfect solution for valves that will not seat properly when all flow must be stopped. Sealant is injected into the seat of the valve to provide a safe seal and stop the flow. The sealant remains in the system and is usually caught in a drain if the valve is opened again. A line kill is a great alternative to isolating, or even shutting down, the system if needed.
